Senate President Bukola Saraki has made his appearance at the Code of Conduct Tribunal, where he is facing charges.
Saraki pleaded not guilty to the 13-count charge of false declaration of a$$ets and corruption.
Saraki’s lawyer, JB Daudu, had initially tried to prevent Saraki from taking the stand, claiming the tribunal wasn’t meant for criminal charges.
The tribunal’s chairman, Danladi Umar however ignored Daudu’s request, and insisted Saraki enter the dock and take his plea.
