Photos: One injured as Pro-Biafrians protest in Port Harcourt

Pro-Biafrians are currently protesting along Aba road in Port Harcourt, Rivers state. Meanwhile Imo state governor, Rochas Okorochas has called for an emergency meeting of South East leaders to deliberate on the recent agitations by some youths for the creation of Biafra. The UK plans to deport 29,000 Nigerians

The United Kingdom is reportedly working with the Federal Government to deport 29,000 Nigerians , an exercise that is expected to commence soon after fulfillment of all legal obligations.
The UK stated that it would continue to maintain dialogue with the FG on this sensitive matter so as to preserve the relationship between both countries.

Senate postpones Rotimi Amaechi's ministerial screening


The Senate has deferred the screening of ministerial nominee, former governor of Rivers state Rotimi Amaechi to tomorrow Thursday October 15th. The Senate said the postponement is due to the inability of its Committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions to meet and subsequently submit its report on the petition against Amaechi.
