Senate Gives Buhari 2 Weeks To End Fuel Scarcity

The Senate yesterday ordered President Muhammadu Buhari who is also the Minister of Petroleum Resources, to end the fuel crisis within two weeks.
Chairman, Senate Committee on Petroleum (Downstream), Senator Uche Lilian Ekwunife (PDP, Anambra Central), gave the ultimatum during a meeting with the Ministry of Petroleum Resources at the National Assembly Complex, Abuja.
Ekwunife said the minister must not only end the scarcity within the ultimatum, but ensure that consumers do not pay more than N87 per litre for petrol.

MTN, Airtel, Globacom Face Sanction Over Data Migration


The Nigerian Communications Commission on Monday said it would sanction MTN, Airtel and Globacom for defying its directive on automatic migration to Pay-As-You-Go data bundle. The commission made this known in its ‘2015 3Q Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement Report’, obtained by the News Agency of Nigeria in Lagos. The NCC said it had continued to receive complaints from subscribers on automatic migration of data bundle package to Pay-As-You-Go billing upon the depletion of their data bundle. Details of Prince Audu’s Death (Plus His Last Photos)

From what Sammyworldnews has observed, anyone who had taken his time to look Prince Abubakar Audu closely on Saturday while he arrived his pooling unit to cast his vote would notice he is very sick.

According to family sources, Prince Audu started vomiting blood on Friday night in what those close to him described as a bizarre deterioration in his health condition. One of the family sources described the late politician as hypertensive.

    A close family member who witnessed Audu’s deterioration, said “He started vomiting blood after he returned from Lokoja.” See more details and his last photos:
The family source added that Audu woke up very tired on Saturday, the day of the governorship election. He said doctors had given the former governor blood transfusion which gave him enough energy to go to the polling booth to vote in his hometown, Ogbonicha.

According to the source, Audu returned to his home on Saturday and began vomiting again. “After a while he became unconscious and, to the surprise of man, he gave up around 5a.m. on Sunday morning,” said the family source, who requested anonymity.

Lagos State Polytechnic of Technology, LASPOTECH 2nd batch admission list for the 2015/2016 academic session is out.

The Lagos State Polytechnic of Technology (LASPOTECH) 2015/2016 academic session second batch admission list of candidates offered provisional admission into the polytechnic various National Diploma programmes is out.

Candidates that participated in LASPOTECH 2015/2016 academic session post UTME result but are yet to be admitted are all advised to check their admission status by following the procedures outlined below.

David Moyes: Real Sociedad Sack Former Man UTD Manager


David Moyes has been sacked as manager of La Liga strugglers Real Sociedad a day short of his one-year anniversary at the Spanish club.

The 52-year-old steered the Basque team to 12th spot last season after taking charge on 10 November 2014.

But La Real are only outside the relegation zone on goal difference and Friday’s 2-0 defeat at Las Palmas was their fourth in five league games.

A Sociedad statement said they had decided to terminate Moyes’s contract.

Assistant boss Billy McKinlay has also been sacked.

Graphic photos: Boko haram members killed as military clears more of their camps

In a statement by Colonel Tukur Gusau, media co-ordinator of the military,a  major boost, troops of 115 Task Force Battallion under 28 Task Force Brigade while on clearance operations from November 3rd-5th cleared nine more terrorists’ strongholds around Lassa axis. 
 The terrorists’ camps cleared included Lassa, Muthavo, Dagu, Kumabza, Isge, Unworo,, Zangore, Kilesaka and Pumpum.

The UK plans to deport 29,000 Nigerians

The United Kingdom is reportedly working with the Federal Government to deport 29,000 Nigerians , an exercise that is expected to commence soon after fulfillment of all legal obligations.
The UK stated that it would continue to maintain dialogue with the FG on this sensitive matter so as to preserve the relationship between both countries.

Update and graphic photos from Edo sate robbery today

Attempt by the robbers who robbed and killed scores in Igarra last night to escape enroute Makeke Ojah road met brink walls as vigilantes in Makeke town took up the role of the police to protect the people. The robbers who met resistance from the civilian security killed one of the vigilantes and escaped into the forest. Angered by the death of their colleagues, the vigilantes mobilized into the bush and confronted the robbers. Four of the robbers were reportedly killed by the vigilante. Also, the robbers abandoned 1 pump action and seven AK47 to enable them free movement.
