Antonio Conte is interested in a move for Polish superstar Robert Lewandowski, according to reports.
According to Poland’s biggest television network TVP leading journalist, Maciej Iwanski, Chelsea are keen on to sign Lewandowski.
It’s also believed that Poland international star is considering a move to London, as he has been frustrated with life in Germany since the arrival of Carlo Ancelotti.
Should the German champions consider selling Lewandowski, they would be in a strong negotiating position with 28-year-old forward has signed a new deal wit the Bavarian that will keep him at Alian Arena until 2021.
On Monday, Lewandowski’s agent fuelled speculation that Polish forward is unhappy with his life with the Bayern Munich.
‘Robert told me that he got no support and that the coach gave no call to help him in the last game to win the top-scorer title,’ Maik Barthel told Kicker.
‘He was disappointed as I have ever seen him before. He really hoped that the team [would] support him proactively.’
Chelsea, meanwhile, continues their search for a new frontman to replace Diego Costa who is planning to leave the club this summer.
And Romelu Lukaku has been rumoured to be on the verge to make Stamford Bridge return.
The 24-year-old striker is believed to have already agreed on personal terms with the Premier League champions ahead of a summer switch.
Antonio Conte is no longer considering Diego Costa as a part of the first-team plans and Spaniard likely to leave the club as soon as the transfer window is reopened.
