Vice President Yemi Osinbajo yesterday chaired the Federal Executive Council meeting in his capacity as acting President. President Buhari is presently in the UK to rest and also see an Ear, Nose and Throat doctor for
an ear infection he has.
At the meeting only 22 out of the 36 ministers were in attendance. The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir David Lawal, during his prayers at the meeting, disclosed that three ministers Aisha Alhassan (Women Affairs), Adamu Adamu (Education) and Ibrahim Usman Jubrin (State for Environment) are presently sick.
According to him, Aisha Alhassan is recuperating from a surgery she had in the US recently while Adamu Adamu has back pain.
The Minister of State for Environment, Ibrahim Usman Jubrin's ailment was not disclosed.
